Trump Announces U.S. Deal to Import Diesel from Russia
President Donald Trump announced that Russia has agreed to supply 300,000 tons of diesel to global markets, with additional shipments of 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons soon after, following discussions with Vladimir Putin. The deal comes as G7 nations agreed to release 100 million barrels of oil and diesel, and despite Ukrainian airstrikes reportedly halting more than half of Russia's refining capacity.
