Four Renaissance masterpieces by Antonello da Messina, worth up to €80 million, have been stolen from the MuMe museum in Messina, Sicily, during the Ferragosto holiday. The thieves exploited the city's festive distractions to break in and take the artworks, including a rare double-sided panel and crucial parts of a historic polyptych.
