Trump reignites tariff war citing 'forced labor'
Four months after the US Supreme Court blocked his earlier tariff plan, President Trump’s administration has launched a new Section 301 strategy targeting more than 80 economies for alleged forced labor. The proposal includes additional tariffs of up to 12.5% on imports from allies like the EU, UK, Canada and Japan, as well as many developing nations. Experts warn the policy could push global trade away from the US while raising costs for American consumers and businesses.
