World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka defeated Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-4, 6-2 in the first round of the French Open, overcoming an early challenge in the opening set. The Belarusian, who is seeking her first Roland Garros title, regained control after a mid-set wobble and wrapped up the match in 75 minutes on Philippe Chatrier.
