US President Donald Trump said on May 7 that if Iran agrees to the US proposal on the Strait of Hormuz, the current conflict could end.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote: "Assuming Iran agrees to what has been agreed upon, though that may be a big assumption, the 'Epic Fury' that has now gone down in history will end, and a 'Highly Effective Blockade' will allow the Strait of Hormuz to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran."
The US leader threatened that if Tehran does not comply, "the bombing will begin, and sadly, it will be at a level and intensity far greater than before."
