Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected the possibility that the United States could force Iran to surrender, calling it a delusion. In remarks to domestic media, Pezeshkian stressed that sanctions and pressure from Washington will not change Tehran’s stance.
The statement comes amid escalating tensions between the two countries, with the U.S. maintaining economic sanctions targeting Iran’s nuclear program and other activities. Pezeshkian affirmed that Iran will continue on its path of independence and self-reliance, and will not yield to any threats or pressure.
The Iranian leader also called on the U.S. to change its approach, abandon its policy of pressure, and return to constructive dialogue based on mutual respect. However, he warned that any attempt to force Iran to surrender will fail, and that Tehran is ready to defend its national interests at any cost.
Pezeshkian’s remarks reflect Iran’s hardline stance as the U.S. continues to ramp up sanctions. Analysts suggest that a breakthrough is unlikely unless Washington adjusts its policy toward Tehran.
