Zolghadr has held several key positions within Iran's political and security apparatus, including commander of the Basij volunteer force under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). His extensive experience in security and military affairs is seen as crucial for fulfilling his new role effectively.
This appointment is part of the Supreme Leader's office regular personnel adjustments aimed at consolidating the advisory structure during the current period.
