US accepts Iran's 7-day ceasefire proposal but seeks additional terms

The United States has accepted Iran's proposal for a seven-day ceasefire but has also asked for additional clauses to be added to the agreement, according to a source.

Iran's proposal centers on pausing hostilities for one week. The US side did not reject the proposal but instead requested adjustments and additions before a final agreement is reached.

There is currently no detailed information about the additional clauses Washington has proposed, nor about the next steps in negotiations between the parties.
