The US Mission to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on May 4, 2026, issued a warning about “airborne threats” and called on US citizens in the UAE to comply with instructions from local authorities.
In a post on social media platform X, the US Mission stated: “The US Mission in the UAE is monitoring the situation and urges US citizens to please follow guidance from UAE authorities and be prepared to take shelter if required.”
The mission noted that the current travel advisory remains at Level 3, meaning citizens should “reconsider travel,” and added that “non-emergency US government employees have been relocated out of the UAE.”
The warning followed reports that the UAE had become a target of missiles and drones linked to Iran.
Earlier, the UAE Ministry of Interior had issued several public alerts via mobile phones, notifying of potential airborne threats.
