On the morning of March 26, the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemned the latest US airstrikes targeting sites in southern Iran. According to a statement from the ministry’s spokesperson, the attacks involving drones and missiles struck military facilities in Hormozgan and Bushehr provinces, causing infrastructure damage.
Iran asserted that the action is a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Tehran warned it would take appropriate retaliatory measures while calling on the international community to condemn Washington’s escalation.
“The United States must bear responsibility for the consequences of these attacks,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry statement emphasized. Washington has not yet issued an official comment on the incident. Tensions between the two countries continue to rise amid deadlocked negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.
