Iran Vows to Stand Firm Against 'Most Bloodthirsty Enemy'

Iranian government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said on June 9 that Iran remains resolute in confronting the "most bloodthirsty enemy," affirming that Tehran's position will not change in the face of external pressure, according to Iran's state news agency.

The remarks come as regional tensions between Iran and its adversaries show no sign of easing.

The Iranian news agency did not specify whom the government spokesman was referring to, but observers say the statement extends a recent string of hardline remarks by Tehran officials.
