Iran warned the U.S. not to escalate at the Strait of Hormuz after a series of attacks that risk reigniting Middle East conflict. The U.S. military said it struck six Iranian vessels and repelled missiles and drones.

Iran’s top negotiator warned the United States not to escalate further at the Strait of Hormuz after a series of recent attacks that risk reigniting conflict in the Middle East.
The U.S. military said its Apache and Seahawk helicopters attacked six Iranian vessels threatening commercial shipping and repelled missiles and drones on Monday, while the UAE reported new attacks from Iran on its territory.
Iran’s latest warning follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of plans to guide ships from neutral nations out of the Gulf, as the two sides exchanged fire for control of the sea lane with opposing naval blockades.
“We know clearly that maintaining the status quo is unbearable for the U.S.; while we have not yet begun,” wrote Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, also Iran’s parliament speaker, in a post on X.
