TankerTrackers.com disputes the idea that a US blockade of Iranian ports will soon force Tehran to halt oil production. The monitoring firm says Iran can simply refine crude for domestic use, as it has done before.
According to TankerTrackers.com, the belief that a US blockade of Iran's ports will soon force the country to stop oil production is mistaken.
In a post on social media platform X, the monitoring firm stated: "The story circulating that Iran's oil storage will soon fill up and force production to stop is not true."
"The reality is that they can refine all that oil just for domestic consumption," the firm stressed, noting that Iran has previously reduced output to below 2 million barrels per day and is fully capable of handling that volume domestically.
