At least eight Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, bringing the overall death toll since the conflict began in October last year to nearly 73,350.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, several of the latest victims died in attacks on Gaza City and the southern Khan Younis area. Rescue teams continued to search the rubble following the airstrikes.
The ministry reported that at least 73,348 Palestinians have been killed and more than 167,000 others injured since the start of Israel's military operation. These figures include thousands of women and children.
Meanwhile, ceasefire negotiations remain deadlocked. Israel continues to intensify military operations in various parts of the Gaza Strip, while humanitarian organizations warn of severe shortages of food, clean water, and medical supplies in the territory.
The United Nations and numerous countries have repeatedly called for restraint and protection of civilians, but no lasting ceasefire has been established so far.
