Iraqi Analyst: Any War with Iran Will Be a Multi-Front Regional Conflict

An Iraqi political analyst warned that any war with Iran will be regional and fought on multiple fronts, rather than being a bilateral conflict.

Speaking amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran, the analyst said that Iran's allies and proxy forces across the Middle East — including in Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and other areas — could join any military confrontation.

He stressed that Iran has built a network of armed groups and allies over decades, and that if Washington attacks Tehran, these forces will certainly react, making the conflict complex and widespread. This could include attacks on US and allied interests in the region.

The analyst also pointed out that any military action against Iran risks igniting a hard-to-control regional war, impacting energy security and causing deep instability across the entire Middle East.
