On October 4, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a statement criticizing Israel’s attack on Lebanon, arguing that the action reflects America’s inability or lack of will to restrain its close ally.
Speaking before lawmakers, Ghalibaf stressed that Israeli airstrikes targeting sites in Lebanon have caused civilian casualties and escalated regional tensions. He accused Washington of taking no steps to prevent Tel Aviv, despite the U.S. being a strategic ally that regularly provides military support to Israel.
The Iranian Parliament Speaker called on the international community to condemn Israel’s actions and urged the U.S. to show responsibility in maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East. He also reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to diplomatic solutions while warning of the consequences of continued military escalation.
