On July 8, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf delivered a speech warning the American people about the consequences of policies under former President Donald Trump. Speaking in a parliament session, Ghalibaf stressed that Americans would soon realize the price they would pay for their choices.
Ghalibaf criticized Washington's sanctions and provocative actions, arguing they not only fail to hinder Iran's development but also harm the American people. "The American people will pay the price for the stubbornness and misguided policies of the Trump administration," he said.
In his speech, the Iranian parliament speaker also called on Washington to abandon unilateral measures and return to constructive dialogue. He stressed that Iran is ready to cooperate but will not accept any imposition from outside.
Analysts say Ghalibaf's remarks reflect Iran's hardline stance amid ongoing US-Iran tensions with no signs of easing. US sanctions against Iran remain in place, putting heavy pressure on the country's economy.
