On February 4, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf rejected recent US claims regarding Iran's frozen assets. He emphasized that Iran fully adheres to international obligations and has not violated any agreements related to these resources.
In a speech, Ghalibaf said Washington's accusations were baseless and aimed at exerting political pressure on Tehran. He also noted that the US has repeatedly violated international agreements, including withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and reimposing sanctions on Iran.
Earlier, the US accused Iran of using frozen assets to fund destabilizing activities in the Middle East. However, Iran denied this, stating the assets belong to the Iranian people and should be freed for domestic needs.
Ghalibaf called on the international community to view the issue objectively and fairly, warning that US unilateral actions only worsen regional tensions.
