Mohamed Salah has set a new milestone in the Turkish Super Lig, becoming the first player to record 10 goal contributions in just his first seven matches for Trabzonspor.
In Saturday's match, the Egyptian star provided an assist in Trabzonspor's 3-0 win over Samsunspor, bringing his total to three assists to go with seven goals in seven games. It has been a highly productive start for Salah since leaving Liverpool for Turkey.
According to the statistics, 10 goal contributions in seven matches is a record for any player in the Super Lig.
In August, the 34-year-old joined the Turkish club on a two-year contract after parting ways with Liverpool — a move that was seen as a surprise. Salah was a free agent after leaving Anfield at the end of last season in the English Premier League.
When he completed his move to Trabzonspor, Salah was greeted by crowds of fans in Istanbul.
The Egypt captain made his competitive debut for Trabzonspor from the bench in the Super Lig opener against Kasimpasa, a match that ended 1-1. A month later, he scored a hat-trick and provided an assist in Trabzonspor's 4-0 home win over reigning champions Galatasaray, handing the Istanbul club their first defeat of the season.
Trabzonspor have won the Turkish title seven times and finished third last season.
