Hakuho Appointed President of International Sumo Federation
Former yokozuna Hakuho, who won a record 45 top-division championships, was named Friday as president of the International Sumo Federation, the global governing body for amateur sumo. The Mongolian-born wrestler retired in 2021 after more than two decades in the sport, and his appointment signals a new chapter in international sports administration.
