Uniqlo Posts Record Profit for Sixth Straight Year on Strong Sales

Fast Retailing Co., which operates the Uniqlo fashion chain, said Thursday it logged record net profit for a sixth consecutive fiscal year ended in August, underpinned by strong sales in both its domestic and overseas markets.

The company also issued a forecast for continued growth in the current fiscal year.

The results reflect the Japanese apparel retailer's recovery and expansion, as consumer demand for affordable basic clothing holds steady across many markets.
