Japanese midfielder Kodai Sano has officially joined PSV Eindhoven, the three-time reigning Dutch Eredivisie champions, from NEC Nijmegen. The club confirmed the news on Saturday (August 1).
Sano, a product of Japanese youth football, is expected to bolster the midfield of the Eindhoven-based side. The transfer comes as PSV actively strengthens its squad ahead of the new season.
PSV Eindhoven currently dominates the top flight of Dutch football, having clinched the title in each of the last three seasons. The addition of Sano will provide the team with greater squad depth for their pursuit of domestic and European honors.
