At the recent BRICS conference, Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister called on the group to take strong action to address rising illegal acts on the international stage. He emphasized that these violations not only erode the international legal order but also directly impact the security and sustainable development of member states.
According to the Deputy Minister, BRICS, as an important cooperation forum, should play a leading role in promoting adherence to international law and the UN Charter. He proposed more effective monitoring and response mechanisms for unilateral actions, including illegal sanctions and inappropriate use of force.
Vietnam's representative also urged BRICS countries to strengthen coordination within multilateral frameworks to protect small and developing nations from pressure by major powers. This message received support from many participants, highlighting the urgent need for a more just and equitable world order.
