The ministry's emergency operations center confirmed that 8,438 people have been wounded as Israeli strikes continue across wide areas of Lebanon.
Officials said the airstrikes have focused mainly on towns, villages and cities in southern Lebanon, where the intensity of bombing has increased. Fighting remains complex and shows no signs of cooling down.
