The Japanese pitcher recorded seven strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs. While not his sharpest performance, Sasaki maintained enough control to keep the home team ahead and secure the victory.
This was the Dodgers' second straight win over the Mariners in this exhibition series. Los Angeles' offense capitalized on opportunities, scoring six runs to build a safe cushion before Sasaki exited the game.
The win keeps the Dodgers in solid form during the midseason stretch, while Sasaki continues to solidify his spot in the starting rotation after his early MLB appearances.
