Real Madrid has confirmed the signing of center-back Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool on a four-year contract, after the player completed his deal with the Anfield club.
In an official announcement, the Spanish giants stated: “Los Blancos and defender Konate have reached an agreement for him to become a Real Madrid player for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2030.”
Ibrahima Konate, 27, joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2021, making 183 appearances and winning the Premier League title in 2025, the FA Cup in 2022, and several other trophies.
The French international is currently with his national team at the World Cup. He will join a Real Madrid side that has been bolstered this summer by the arrival of head coach Jose Mourinho, along with signings of Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella and Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva.
Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in Inter Milan wing-back Denzel Dumfries, as the club undergoes a squad overhaul after two consecutive seasons without a major trophy.
Earlier, the Spanish giants extended the contract of center-back Antonio Rudiger until 2027, following the departures of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba when their contracts expired at the Santiago Bernabeu.
