In a recent statement, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian asserted that efforts to undermine national unity in Iran are effectively serving the interests of hostile forces.
Speaking at a high-level meeting, Pezeshkian stressed the importance of maintaining internal consensus, especially as Iran faces mounting external pressures and challenges. He argued that enemies consistently seek to exploit vulnerabilities and disagreements to interfere and create instability.
According to the Iranian president, actions that harm national unity can originate not only from opposition groups but also through disinformation campaigns and divisive propaganda on the internet. He called on all Iranians to remain vigilant and united to protect national interests.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and several Western countries, particularly over the nuclear program and regional issues. Tehran has repeatedly accused the United States and its allies of backing plots to destabilize and foment internal divisions within Iran.
