Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on countries in the region to join efforts in opening a new chapter in relations, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation in addressing common challenges and advancing peace and stability.
In a statement on October 18, Pezeshkian said regional nations need to move past previous disagreements to build relations based on trust and mutual interests. He stressed that economic, security, and cultural cooperation would bring practical benefits to all sides.
The Iranian leader also expressed hope that neighboring countries would join Iran in promoting initiatives to tackle issues such as the energy crisis, climate change, and regional instability. He pledged that Tehran is ready to engage in constructive dialogue.
However, Pezeshkian did not provide specific details on measures or timelines for these changes, but asserted that "the future of the region depends on the unity and cooperation of all nations."
