US President Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of resuming military strikes against Iran, warning of consequences if Tehran engages in 'bad behavior.' The statement was made amid rising tensions after recent US airstrikes on Iranian targets.
WASHINGTON, May 3 (TASS). US President Donald Trump on May 3 did not rule out the possibility of resuming military strikes against Iran.
“I can't say that to a reporter. If they behave badly, if they do something terrible, but right now, we'll see. However, it is certainly a possibility,” Trump told reporters.
The remarks came amid escalating US-Iran tensions following a series of airstrikes conducted by Washington against targets in Iran. Earlier, the Trump administration had repeatedly warned of harsher economic and military measures if Iran does not change its policies.
