The announcement coincides with the 40th anniversary of Shin Ramyun—the company's flagship product and brand icon. Establishing a sales office in Russia is seen as an effort to boost exports and directly engage consumers in Eastern Europe.
The move comes as Nongshim accelerates its international business activities after years of primarily focusing on the domestic South Korean market. The company's products, especially its instant noodles, have already established a solid presence in many Asian countries, North America, and Europe.
