He stated: "These are completely baseless rumors with no factual basis. The President continues to work normally and run the country according to his assigned duties."
The spokesperson urged the public and media not to spread unverified information that could cause public concern. He added that authorities are investigating the origin of the rumors.
Earlier, posts on some forums and social media claimed the President intended to step down for health reasons. After receiving these reports, the Government Office ordered relevant units to verify and clarify the situation.
No official statement has yet been issued on possible action against those who spread the false information.
