Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said justice has become meaningless in Ukraine due to lawlessness, legal arbitrariness, and corruption. She criticized the Kiev authorities for failing to investigate the Odessa tragedy.
Speaking in Moscow on May 2, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova declared that a lack of rights, arbitrariness within the legal system, and widespread corruption have turned the concept of 'justice' into a meaningless term in modern Ukraine.
Zakharova criticized the Kiev authorities for breaking promises to investigate the Odessa tragedy and punish those responsible. She emphasized: 'The current regime, despite previous pledges to complete the investigation into the Odessa tragedy and penalize the perpetrators, clearly no longer cares about justice today. However, the very word 'justice' has become a meaningless phrase against the backdrop of legal arbitrariness, lawlessness, and rampant corruption in modern Ukraine.'
