On October 24, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with his Georgian counterpart, during which he stressed that expanding bilateral cooperation across various fields is a top priority for Tehran.
According to a statement from Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides discussed measures to boost economic, trade, energy, and cultural relations. Araghchi expressed hope that stronger cooperation would bring practical benefits to both nations while contributing to regional stability.
For his part, the Georgian foreign minister commended Iran's role in the region and confirmed readiness to advance joint cooperation projects. Both sides also agreed to maintain regular dialogue to monitor the progress of collaboration.
The phone call comes amid notable recent improvements in Iran-Georgia relations, with several cooperation agreements signed in the energy and transportation sectors.
