Iranian Foreign Minister Holds Phone Calls with Pakistani Officials on Bilateral Cooperation

On October 23, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held phone calls with Pakistani officials, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and exchanging views on regional issues of mutual interest.

According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, in the call with his Pakistani counterpart, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining regular high-level dialogue to promote cooperation in economic, security, and cultural fields. The discussions also touched on the situation in Afghanistan and joint efforts to stabilize peace in the South Asia region.

This diplomatic move comes as Iran and Pakistan are working to cement ties following earlier high-level exchanges, including Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Tehran in June.
