On October 10, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held phone conversations with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
According to a statement from Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the call with the Egyptian foreign minister, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as the latest regional developments. Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Iran and Egypt to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
In the call with the Qatari foreign minister, the two diplomats focused on diplomatic efforts to end the hostilities in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. Foreign Minister Araghchi expressed deep concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza and called on the international community to take urgent action to prevent further escalation of violence.
The phone calls took place amid rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly after Israel's attack on Lebanon and ongoing clashes in Gaza. Iran has repeatedly called on Islamic countries to unite in response to shared challenges.
