Russia Ratifies Military Cooperation Agreement with Nicaragua

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law ratifying a military cooperation agreement with Nicaragua on May 2. The deal, signed in Moscow last September, provides for joint military training, counterterrorism cooperation, and military education exchanges.
On May 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the ratification of a military cooperation agreement with Nicaragua, officially completing its approval process in Moscow.
The agreement was signed in Moscow on September 22 last year. Under the terms, the two sides will conduct joint training for their armed forces; exchange experience and information on combating extremism and international terrorism; cooperate between military education institutions; and collaborate on military research issues.
The ratification of the agreement is expected to contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the military field.
