New Zealand secured an impressive 253-run victory over England in the second Test at The Oval, leveling the series at 1-1.
Entering the fifth day at 182-5, England needed 463 runs for an improbable win. However, the hosts collapsed rapidly, bowled out in just under an hour after adding only 209 runs.
Matt Henry was the standout performer, claiming all five remaining England wickets. He dismissed Joe Root with an LBW on the second ball of the second over of the day, Root adding just 2 runs to his overnight score of 77.
Two balls later, Henry bowled Jofra Archer for a duck. In his next over, he removed Matthew Fisher, caught behind without scoring. He then had Josh Tongue caught by Daryl Mitchell.
Henry capped his brilliant spell by dismissing Jordan Cox with an in-swinging yorker, ending with match figures of 11 wickets.
This defeat marks England's sixth loss in their last eight Tests.
The series decider takes place next week at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
