Omar Marmoush shone with a brace to help Manchester City fight back and beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 in their final summer friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea.
Atletico Madrid took the lead late in the first half when Jorge Dominguez tapped in from close range after Man City's defense failed to clear a corner properly.
Before conceding, City had been the dominant side. Tijjani Reijnders, Josko Gvardiol, and Savinho all missed good chances to score.
City's sustained pressure finally paid off with the equalizer in the 57th minute. Antoine Semenyo dribbled past a defender and crossed for Marmoush to finish from close range.
Just two minutes later, the pair combined again. Marmoush met Semenyo's second cross to make it 2-1 to City.
With that goal, Marmoush delivered an impressive performance in the friendly against a strong opponent. Atletico brought on new signing Lee Kang-In early in the second half and began to create more chances through their substitutions.
However, it was City who scored the decisive goal. In the 90th minute, Rayan Ait-Nouri broke through and fired past substitute goalkeeper Carlos Esquivel.
The victory was a perfect warm-up for City ahead of their Community Shield clash with Arsenal at Wembley next weekend. Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, will begin their La Liga campaign at home to Malaga on August 19.
