Liverpool have officially announced the signing of French winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The 23-year-old passed his medical on Monday before completing the move, as confirmed by the Anfield club.
Barcola's contract with Liverpool runs for five years, with the total transfer package estimated at around £120 million (approximately $162 million).
Speaking on Liverpool's official website, Barcola said: "It's a great pride to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy. The negotiations took a long time, but today I'm really glad to wear the Liverpool shirt, and what I want most is to get on the pitch and play."
He added: "I hope to achieve great things. First of all, to win the Premier League title – that's one of the biggest dreams of my life. I want to stay with this club for a long time – that's why I signed a long-term contract – and I hope I can do that."
Barcola was part of the France squad at the 2026 World Cup, where they were beaten by eventual champions Spain in the semi-finals. He also featured in the third-place play-off, scoring against England.
The 2003-born forward began his career at hometown club Olympique Lyonnais before moving to PSG in 2023. In Paris, he was a key figure in their domestic titles and consecutive Champions League doubles. However, the emergence of Desire Doue at the capital club pushed Barcola out of regular starting contention, leading to speculation about a move to another top European side.
Liverpool, for their part, were seeking attacking reinforcements after Egyptian international Mohamed Salah joined Turkish club Trabzonspor during the summer transfer window. Barcola has scored six goals in 28 appearances for France, including a strike in the World Cup third-place play-off against England.
