On October 5, 2025, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement marking the two-year anniversary of the "Al-Aqsa Storm" campaign, calling it "the beginning of the end of Zionism."
According to the IRGC, the campaign launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023, created a strategic turning point, reshaped the regional security landscape, and pushed Israel into a prolonged state of passivity in the Gaza Strip.
The IRGC stressed that subsequent developments — including the widening conflict in Gaza and rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen — demonstrated Israel's weakening. The statement also said Iran's attacks on Israel over the past two years were proof of Tehran's deterrence capability, while reaffirming Iran's support for the anti-Israel "axis of resistance."
The IRGC said Iran's position is to continue backing its allied forces in the region and that it will not retreat in the face of pressure from Israel and the United States.
The statement comes amid continued regional tensions following the prolonged conflict in Gaza and military confrontations between Iran and Israel. There has been no official reaction so far from Israel or other parties involved to the IRGC statement.
