On April 15, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi delivered an official statement on the results of negotiations with the United States held in Oman and Rome, emphasizing important progress that had been achieved.
Speaking to the press, Araghchi said the discussions focused on lifting sanctions and Iran's nuclear program. He stated: "We have made concrete steps, although many challenges remain ahead."
According to sources from Iran's Foreign Ministry, the negotiations took place in a constructive and professional atmosphere. Representatives from both sides exchanged views on key issues, including the lifting of US sanctions and Iran's commitment to limiting uranium enrichment.
Araghchi praised the mediating roles of Oman and Italy, expressing hope that subsequent rounds of talks would continue to yield positive results. "The road ahead is long, but we are on the right track," he said.
Analysts say these developments could open the door to reviving the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), which has stalled since 2018. However, both Washington and Tehran have been cautious in their official statements.
