On December 27, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United States will reinforce Tehran’s victories in the negotiations. Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Araghchi emphasized that the agreement is the outcome of persistent diplomatic efforts and reflects Iran’s negotiating strength.
Mr. Araghchi added that specific details of the MoU will be released once legal and technical procedures are completed. Iran’s top diplomat also affirmed that the deal not only brings economic benefits but also represents a strategic step in bilateral relations, helping Tehran achieve its pre-set objectives.
Earlier, negotiations between Iran and the U.S. had been tense over nuclear issues and sanctions. However, according to Mr. Araghchi, signing the MoU will create a new framework for cooperation, strengthening Iran’s position and safeguarding national interests. The U.S. side has not yet issued an official comment on this statement.
