Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf on March 5 delivered a strong statement, asserting that acts of threat against Iran without consequence have ended. Speaking before lawmakers, Ghalibaf emphasized: "The era of free threats against Iran is over."
The remarks came amid escalating tensions between Iran and Western powers, particularly after accusations regarding Tehran's nuclear program and military activities. Ghalibaf also affirmed that Iran will respond to any hostile actions through firm and effective measures.
According to Iran's state news agency IRNA, the parliament speaker stressed that Iran's defense capabilities have been significantly strengthened to safeguard national sovereignty and security. Ghalibaf also called on regional countries to cooperate more closely with Iran to build a stable security environment.
Ghalibaf's statement followed a series of missile attacks on military bases in the Middle East, which Tehran described as legitimate retaliation. Analysts suggest the move signals Iran shifting toward a more confrontational strategy, ready to meet any threat with force.
