Iran Says It Will Counter US Naval Blockade Through 'Strategic Management'

On April 21, Iran declared it would counter US maritime blockade measures through "strategic management," as tensions between Tehran and Washington continued to escalate.

According to the IRNA news agency, Iranian officials stressed that the country has sufficient capacity to neutralize US blockade efforts through strategic management and operational measures, including contingency plans in the Strait of Hormuz and other key shipping lanes.

The United States had previously deployed naval forces to the region to pressure Iran. Tehran has repeatedly warned that it will not allow such activities to affect its security and interests.

The latest statement indicates Iran is considering strategic countermeasures rather than merely immediate reactions, amid a lack of clear progress in negotiations between the two sides.
