Iran's western province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari has held a ceremony to break ground on a series of major construction projects under the national infrastructure development program. The event, attended by representatives of the central government and local leaders, marks a new step in efforts to improve public facilities and services in the region.
Among the works launched this time are numerous projects in transportation, water supply and sewage, education, and healthcare. These projects are considered key to regional connectivity, job creation, and improving residents' quality of life, especially in remote and less-developed districts.
Speaking at the ceremony, provincial officials emphasized the importance of completing the projects on schedule and ensuring high construction quality, pledging strict oversight from design to final acceptance. The investment for these projects comes from the national budget and regional development support funds.
This wave of groundbreaking ceremonies is part of a series of initiatives promoted by the Iranian government since the beginning of the year to accelerate infrastructure development in key provinces, contributing to long-term socio-economic growth targets. Analysts believe this move will have a positive spillover effect on investment and production activities in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province.
