Iranian Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi confirmed on Tuesday that he had conveyed a message from President Masoud Pezeshkian to the leadership of Tajikistan. The message was delivered during a visit to Dushanbe aimed at advancing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
According to Aliabadi, the message focuses on expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, and investment. The minister stressed that both sides are eager to remove obstacles and elevate bilateral relations to a new level.
The move comes as Iran and Tajikistan work to restore and strengthen ties after years of estrangement. Analysts view President Pezeshkian's message as a positive signal, underscoring Tehran's commitment to deepening engagement with Central Asian nations.
No official response from Tajikistan has been received so far. However, observers expect the two countries to hold follow-up talks soon to flesh out cooperative agreements.
