Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, said on February 14 that Tehran has not received any official invitation from regional countries to attend meetings or conferences. The statement was made in response to media reports about the possibility of Iran participating in regional conferences in the near future.
According to Baghaei, all contacts between Iran and regional countries continue through normal diplomatic channels. He emphasized that Tehran is always ready to engage in dialogue with relevant parties, but any meetings must be organized on an official and clear basis.
This development comes amid new dynamics in relations between Iran and several Arab countries, particularly following negotiations on the nuclear program and regional security. Iran has previously reiterated its support for dialogue aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry also stated that it is closely monitoring regional developments and will announce in a timely manner if an official invitation is extended.
