Tehran on November 13 warned the United States against any 'foolish actions' after President-elect Donald Trump made fresh statements on Iran's nuclear program.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that any provocative act from the U.S. would face an appropriate response, reaffirming Tehran's readiness to defend its national interests and sovereignty.
The warning comes as Trump, known for his hardline stance on Iran during his first term, is reportedly preparing new policies. In his previous term, Trump unilaterally withdrew the U.S. from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and reimposed sanctions.
Iran has repeatedly stated its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and warned it will retaliate against any aggression. Tensions between the two countries have escalated since Trump's reelection earlier this month.
