Iran Warns of Humanitarian Fallout From Sanctions

Iran warns of sanctions' humanitarian impact

Iran has warned that sanctions imposed on the country could lead to serious humanitarian consequences, as tensions between Tehran and Western powers over its nuclear program show no sign of easing.

The message was framed as a call for the international community to weigh the impact of restrictive measures on ordinary people's lives, particularly in health care and access to essential goods.

Iran argues that the sanctions affect not only the economy but also directly hit access to medicines, medical equipment and basic necessities, thereby increasing the humanitarian burden.

There was no immediate reaction from the parties involved. The development comes as diplomatic talks over Iran's nuclear issue remain a focus of international attention.
