In a recent statement, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Kazem Gharibabadi said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will respond militarily to any provocative action by the United States. The statement comes amid rising tensions between the two countries over Iran's nuclear program and regional military activities.
"The IRGC is ready to respond to any aggressive or destructive act by the US, demonstrating Iran's military power and comprehensive defense capabilities," Gharibabadi emphasized.
The statement follows the deployment of additional US military forces in the Middle East and an increase in sanctions targeting Iran-linked entities. Tehran has previously warned of a strong response if Washington undertakes any military action against Iranian territory or interests.
Iran asserts that the IRGC is fully capable of safeguarding national security and maintaining regional stability, while calling on the US to exercise restraint and avoid escalation.
